Antenatal & Postnatal Care

Antenatal & Postnatal Care

Good outcomes at birth begin with good care during pregnancy. Our antenatal clinic follows the Ministry of Health’s recommended contact schedule, so you are checked regularly, screened early for risks such as anaemia, high blood pressure, diabetes in pregnancy and infections, and supported with the information you need to prepare for birth.

After delivery, we continue to look after you and your baby. Postnatal visits check your recovery, your baby’s growth and feeding, and your emotional wellbeing. We encourage mothers to attend early and to bring a partner or family member, because a supported mother recovers better.
